Rice looks great in both the 6 and left 8 positions. Still waiting to see how Rice plays in the team with Partey playing as the 6 instead of Jorginho to truly see what this team is capable of
His consistency astounds me tbh.
I always knew he was good when I watched West Ham play, but seeing him be the best player on the pitch pretty much every single week is insane.
Caicedo is a great talent, but he could never do what Rice does week in week out. On track for POTS together with Willy.
was watching him & enzo vs city & was like “they have one too many digits on their price tag”
Yes, yes he was!
What a player
Would love to see a starting XI of Martinelli-Jesus-Saka-Ode-Rice-Partey-Zinny-Gabriel-Saliba-White-Raya for a handful of games.
Has this lineup ever played together this season?
As much as I love this I fee like Trossard always makes things happen when we need
Nope. Haven’t had our strongest 11 once this year.
I’ll take tomiyasu over zinchenko for “strongest lineup” personally.
Would that be our strongest 11 or would switching out zinny for timber be the strongest?
I’ll take tomiyasu personally.
That pricetag made me a bit nervous but not anymore. He’s worth every single penny.
i said he was worth every penny before we bought him
rice handles himself like a professional always willing to listen to managers & trying to be as consistent as possible while striving to be better and better
The fact that his price tag doesn’t get brought up in match threads/post match threads or in general discussion is a testament that he’s worth the price we paid for him
Except for how often it’s brought up about not being brought up /s
He hasn’t had a bad game yet. Already has some game winners. He never seems to make any mistakes. One thing that stands out for me is his recovery speed. Like a lion catching up to its prey. GOAT signing.
Personally I think it’s all relative. For Arsenal he’s been a great deal and he can become an even better deal still. He’s still integrating into the team, he’s young, and he’s willing to learn. However I don’t think he makes the same impact for every big club based on their specific roster and he doesn’t solve all the problems of a small club which could use the same money spread across several positions. So I would just add that for Arsenal he’s been worth it no doubt.
What the fuck does this even mean? We got rice rice baby, not other teams. no need to focus on hypotheticals. Just enjoy the show.
The title was saying rice is worth 105m. When I posted my comment others were stating their thoughts on how good he’s been and that he was worth the money. I was agreeing and just adding the thought that he might not be worth that to other teams. I don’t get why anyone is bothered by that comment?
Dunno why but the music sounds depressing.
he is way better than i expected. defensively he is casemiro and going forward he is fdj
we’ve robbed them actually
I’m often times convinced there are actually 2 guys with Rice kits on out there. One dude makes a great play on defense going towards our goal and the other just appears out of nowhere ever so slightly trailing the forwards on attack.
He’s already worth way more than we paid for him, within a couple of years could be worth double.
Now make sure we have midfield partners around him to get the most out of his talents and that he wins the trophies he deserves to.
Dare I say we cannot be nearly men with such a player on our books!
