    Regardless of how much pep spouts about the media etc being all Liverpool. City have been sky’s golden boy for years and footballs in general and excuses have constantly been made for them. They grease all the right palms and have since 08. Nothing will happen this is all just a smokescreen.

      Honestly relegation and banned from competitive European football for 3 years. There should also be massive fines with more stringent restrictions on how clubs are run!

      The City case has been alleging massive fraud for nearly a decade, so I think even 2025 is doing well considering that the only evidence is probably a few thousand documents.

      Then they will give them enough of a points deduction to avoid demotion but only my goal difference.

      The end result will be a year without Champions League qualification and any other league placement bonuses.

      Seen this League One chat a few times… almost seems like normalising that’s where they’ll get relegated to.

      Fuck that…. Send them to the National Leagues. By the time they get back, Wrexham will be in their place.

    Just a point deduction seems too light for me. All titles won during the times they fudged their numbers should be stripped, and they should be relegated at least twice.

      Personally, I’d like to see them have their records excised going back to the date of the first proven charge and see them expelled from the Premier League and Football League altogether. It won’t happen but I can only dream.

    At the least, Manchester City should be relegated to Championship. And they should be stripped of all titles in that period.

    If they don’t, the point deductions should be taken back from Everton.

      Or they should be relegated from the Premier league and forced to apply for entry to the football league who could reject them or allow them to join division 2. Decisions for the rest of the Premier league, do 3 teams still go down, or does man city occupy one of the relegation spots. Also does the Premier league replace them or go forward with 19 teams instead, all valid options.

    And then when they get their points deduction they re enter the room with the other corrupt five clubs and they discuss how the 1 million fine for the actual worst thing to the game, maybe should be more too….or does that upset too many spoilt protected fans

    So basically City agreeing for a trial means their world class lawyers are prepared and have the resources to escape all this with minimal to no penalty.
