    I wish reporters would stop referring to Donald Trump as “former President Donald Trump” and would start referring to him as “failed businessman and insurrectionist Donald Trump”.

      They do it because they’re trying to hedge their bets if Trump wins. They want to not have the brownshirts sent after them first thing, and they’re willing to try to stroke his ego a bit to do it.

      Trump would absolutely have the brownshirts sent after them anyways.

    The Illinois State Board of Elections had yet to set the petition for hearing Thursday afternoon, spokesperson Matt Dietrich said.

    The board is set to hear 32 other objections to the proposed ballot at its Jan. 11 meeting.
