Let’s try this and see what happens.

I have been thinking the last few days that prompts and images are not actually taboo things but there wasn’t anywhere to acceptably share or talk about them; and why stifle that instead of have a place for them? And today @edwardthefma99@lemmy.world mentioning it reinforced my feeling that we need one. SO HERE WE ARE :)

i’ll post something ina bit so it doesn’t feel empty, but if you wanna be the first poster please feel free!

I’d like to think I’m a totally approachable person (except on a full moon) so any ideas please say! I made this for all of us and what you want matters as much as what I want. If being a mod interests you, please say too!

I’d like for it to be a totally casual chill place for sharing images and chatting about prompts where we can figure out how to generate tiny smiling slime girls nibbling meat in jars without feeling like we have to tiptoe.

NSFW welcome; just nothing actually illegal we could be shut down for. Pretty understandable, right? come join! :)

    What I would like to point out is, the reason we prohibited/refrain users to ask for prompts and post images is that we don’t want users to only think perchance is another AI site, it is so much more.

    Also we would like the forums to talk about building the generators, and not prompts. It is also bad look if someone posts an image without much context or relation to the website, especially if it is nsfw.

      i agree with parts of that :)

      i personally am from the wave of people who found Perchance because of the text-to-image capability, and, though Perchance is much more than that, I also wouldn’t downplay how big of a thing the text-to-image is and believe it is a disproportionately large draw of outside people in to Perchance. (tho i also feel the ai text is just as cool but less flashy so underused)

      i think, tho i have the above view, i also agree with what you are saying. I see the people who need prompt info and things related more to Stable Diffusion than Perchance, and they could easily overwhelm the posts here if not restricted and then it would be basically a Stable Diffusion forum with a Perchance name. It is actually because of this I just tried making the group. I agree this is not the place for that, but i think it would be healthy if there were a place for it instead of to basically play whack a mole on ‘prompt askers’ and ‘stable diffusion askers’. In theory, then everyone would win. tho i am doubtful if anyone will actually use the other group for it, and predict it will have been a good try but stay ‘whack a mole’ mode here as a steady and rising influx of people intent on text-to-image flood in here. just my prediction. will see.

      @VioneT @Alllo If I had an account, I might also create my own community for discussions and updates about creating and building my generators, plugins and other stuff at Perchance, and also a place for people to maybe find some cool stuff about my generators there.
