It’s entirely possible though? Surprised that people don’t know this.

You of course need to follow some strict rules and can only go see the government sanctioned sights and tours. From what I remember it’s a lot of propaganda monuments and some caves.

Just behave and it’s not really risky or anything. It does sound pretty dull to me though.

I feel like a lot of people here assume that you’re going to be automatically arrested when going to DPRK but it’s not completely true. You can get easily arrested and you have to follow strict cultural/government imposed rules.

The DPRK previously has done a “put it’s best foot forward” and keep tourists in a bubble where you’re not allowed to take pictures or videos unless in specifically permitted zones. It’s essentially a propaganda tour.

So you definitely can go to the DPRK as a tourist but for the love of god follow their rules to the letter.

Or take your money and spend it in societies that respect human rights.

But at the same time, currently, there is no reason to go to NK other than to just say that you have.

But why would you want to?

There’s hundreds of other countries to visit that don’t treat their citizens like prisoners and their visitors like hostile spies.

Yeah when I want to be shipped back with terminal brain damage I’ll get right on that.

Seriously I get wanting to visit traditionally off limits destinations but don’t make this one of yours.
