Betting his own team to win may not sound too shady. Betting his team to lose would be a crime. Zaniolo isn’t known to be a smart guy, so the worst can’t be ruled out.
Genuinely think players should be allowed to bet on their team winning (as long as there is no spread). It could create some amazing performances. I also imagine Romero betting absurd amounts on Tottenham.
