    I think we all agree that Onana would do much better in a team with a moderately decent line of defenders.

    Onana didnt have the best start with us but ball playing keepers often struggle while they adapt to the defence around them. Eventually Onana turned out great for us and thats all that really matters from my point of view now

    Sebastiano Rossi was a good goalkeeper but not an incredible one. He just had the best defense in the world and got the longest streak of clean sheets in Serie A (900+ minutes with no goals conceded). That lasted 22 years, then Buffon and Juve happened.

    Those are the most useless stats to compare goalkeepers and infact it’s from Gazzetta dello Sport… If you don’t know the shot/goals ratio and what kind of shots were they supposed to stop you just can’t compare them.

    Andre Onana is a fantastic goalkeeper, one of the world’s best, Sommer is just a decent goalie, but nothing more. There is a reason why Ten Hag has chosen Onana, the best GK of last season UCL, as Man Utd’s number 1.
