The problem is that basically every player who left this season wanted out. Vieira decided he wanted to go back to Porto. ESR was done trying to get minutes here. Ramsdale needed to play too. Nketiah was never going to fit our setup. We’ve arguably kept these players for too long, and not moving them on would be a terrible mistake.
Now, for Ø, there’s just not many players who can play his role. I’m so glad that Ethan got some minutes in this match, because he might be trusted more going forward, but you have to remember that if he sees himself at the right 8, signing a player at that position would basically force him to leave. And we desperately didn’t want that to happen.
I think the only criticism the club deserves here is for letting Ø go on international duty. He was already limping v. Brighton, there was no need for him to play more.
They literally had everything go their way and still couldn’t beat us. Rice suspended, Odegaard injured, new signing injured, can’t lose.
Picture-in-picture is one of those things that should only happen when I explicitly ask for it, in my opinion.
https://collectibles.manutd.com/fantasy-united I don’t even know how to respond to this.
Tavares tore it up against AC Milan. Long may it continue.
Ah, Richard Keys, you. You really know how to have the worst opinions on the planet.
It does seem a little presumptuous, especially since he’s here on the driest of loans.
Even if the ref “had no choice”, as in he was told at halftime that if there is ANY incidence of delaying a free kick, it’s a yellow, why is the Veltman kick completely ignored?
When the ref pulled out the card the entire bar I was in applauded thinking someone was being punished for physically lashing out at an Arsenal player (for what seems to be the 10th time in 3 matches). But no, not only did he punish Rice for something he let go in the first half, he completely ignores the context around the incident.
So sure, the ref “had no choice”. He’s also a blind cunt.
Galatasaray loaning in Osimhen. I guess Turkey is technically Europe, but unless he tears it apart his value is only going to go down.
I really hope you’re right - if that’s the case, then maybe he comes on at the end of the Shit match for Saka
I think we’re going to see more of this as we go on. Clive from AV said something like “if we want to improve on last season, we have to turn losses into draws and draws into wins”. Well, I can 100% see us conceding three or four playing with 10 men against Brighton for an entire half and dropping all three points. It hurts, because I’m pretty sure we didn’t get a single red last season, but I highly doubt anyone other than City will keep a clean sheet against us, and that gives us a fighting chance to draw/win.
Is there any way he starts? It’s a few weeks out but apparently he’s completely out of training
We limited their chances after the red, and we also created three really good chances. The debate over whether we need someone who will finish them is not new, but on another day Havertz/Saka bury one of those and we win despite the red.
They tried to ditch ten Haag. They literally conducted interviews all summer. They couldn’t find anyone better to replace him, which is hilarious.
Truthfully, I don’t know what to believe anymore when it comes to transfer rumors. It seems like 75% of them are fabricated or intentionally leaked to facilitate deals.
It’s true, I was a little surprised. I’d blocked out the pain of Villa doing the double over us. Obviously we shouldn’t lose to Brighton at home but beating Villa against the run of play will be important. We can’t always deserve to win.
I think Williams was just because people were exasperated that we couldn’t find winger backup for either side. And to be fair, Sterling is that guy.
We have this discussion every week. Everyone wants to drop Martinelli because of his lack of form, and it turns out that Trossard can’t replicate what he brings.
25+5. Good enough.
Seconded! It also has a more informative cycling interface.
