If you’re new to Discourse, I wrote up a quick guide that’ll help you learn the basics I guess.
I’d like to call myself an expert but in reality I’m not and I have so much to learn.

@insert @splatoon@lemmy.world that could never happen again, especially with the increased userbase
@Zachariah I’m guessing that’s a joke 😂
Looking further into this, @oatmealdome literally states that this functionality has been in Splatoon 3 for 10 months… wonder why it took so long?

I think it’s interesting mentioning that Elon or Twitter apparently still has a good relationship with Nintendo, despite them rejecting a bid for putting Mario Kart on Tesla’s once.

Also, I should clarify that it’s probably being discontinued since Nintendo isn’t going to pay the absurd API fees.

Hi, just so people see this, SSSL is temporarily unavailable.
It’s been having issues for Splatoon since Pretendo moved from Nintendo’s BOSS servers to Pretendo ones that OatmealDome helped design.
I’m tempted to put Pretendo’s announcements in our Matrix/Discord spaces in some way so people remain notified.
@millions @splatoon@lemmy.world I’m able to open it, perhaps the anti-spam protection systems aren’t working properly?
Apparently 9 players are known to be still connected to Nintendo Network servers, I suspect it’ll be dropping down to 8 soon.

Don’t recognise any of these names other than fishguy which helped expose the RCE exploit that you might remember us reporting a year and 5 months ago.
If you want to follow the situation, the “last” player will be reporting everything that happens on their Twitter.

Just noticed that Australian domains also moved, not sure whether anyone reported on this as a big deal.
https://nintendo.com.au now redirects to https://nintendo.com/au.
@carp4lemmy I honestly personally found it to be not a great theme tbh.
(you might have to view the original post to see the image) My predictions got me second somehow though and I was completely joking around.
Splatoon 3: Pole Expansion
@Cris_Color oops, sorry about that
I was wondering about spoilers for this post but I just wasn’t sure 😥
@pretendo @splatoon@lemmy.world
Oooh hang on, I should probably warn people that this may cause conflicts with Wiimmfi on a Wii U. I’m aware Wiimmfi is available for unmodded consoles in a limited capacity like Pretendo, and that relies on changing DNS too from memory.
I wonder whether it’s possible for Pretendo and Wiimmfi to potentially work together on something unified regarding DNS settings.
@pretendo @splatoon@lemmy.world also for modded Wii U and 3DS console owners, you’ll need to update Nimbus and Inkay to continue playing online.
@pretendo @crossing @splatoon@lemmy.world 3DS users are being greeted with this message (taken from someone on Pretendo’s Discord).
Pretendo has also just announced something pretty big that I’ll cover tomorrow which you should all get excited about.
Edit: error code 002-0110 now displays on 3DS consoles
@pretendo @crossing @splatoon@lemmy.world
Taken this screenshot from Pretendo’s stream, you’ll be met with this error message now when you try to go online.
Goodbye ❤️
