Half of the Premier is just London, it shows how centralized the British economy is in a single city.

Outside of the big 3, the İstanbul teams have 0 fans. 3 of them will probably get relegated this year, but we have Eyüpspor coming up so it’s probably going to be 6 clubs next year

Gala fener and besiktas are all from the same city? No way thats crazy. Imagine having 3 biggest teams in the league in same city

and the narrative is so cool with fener being on anatolian side and gala on europe side. the derby between the two is named as the “intercontinental” derby. also beşiktaş is on the europe side, having the finest location for a stadium. when they win the league a ferry-show happens in the bosphorus.

7 of the 20 best teams in the history of the Super League do not play in the Super League. One team also closed down, but there is another team with the same name and city. In fact, only 5 of the 10 best teams of all time are currently in the Super League. 4 big teams and Ankaragücü, which is in 6th place in the best of all time ranking. There are no teams in the Super League from Izmir and Bursa, Turkey’s 3rd and 4th largest cities. It seems boring to watch Pendik, Karagümrük or İstanbulspor instead of Bursaspor, Eskişehirspor or İzmir teams.

Still think it’s insane that Paris only has one club in Ligue 1. It’s a giant, wealthy megacity with so many different communities within it, and all they can offer up is PSG? Why are there no Paris equivalents of West Ham or Brentford or Fulham?

French football don’t have as good history as one might think given their recent successful 30 years.

same for Berlin. Its crazy there is only 1 club in the bundesliga, and this one not even belongs to the “big” teams like PSG.

And psg was founded in 1975. About 100 years later than the average London team.

They also have an insane amount of talent. A paris born XI would probably be top 10 in the world among NTs

Surprising to see 7 teams from London playing on the prem this season, felt like more. What was the PL season with the most teams from London?

Watford, Millwall and QPR are all in the Championship, which presumably is in the top 15 leagues?

Charlton and Leyton Orient are in League One which can’t be far off if the Czech League is considered.

Knew about Istanbul and London, but figured Russia would be top 15 (#26). Moscow has tons of clubs too, actually 4 in a league of 16 (CSKA, Dynamo, Spartak and Lokomotiv).
