Is Marquinhos the only significant “for the future” buy we have made since Edu has taken over? It feels like we have stopped making those kind of signings.
I’m not sure if it is the right move. We managed to get Martinelli and Saliba for around £36 million combined because we bought them in early. I don’t think that we would make those kind of signings today.
