Considering there’s been a general outrage about prem referees recently?

I can’t help but feel this will eventually play on the players as well, because stuff constantly going against you is demoralizing and make you think what’s the point

As someone that refereed once upon a time, I’d say that instead of bitching about refereeing decisions, learn about how referees think.

No amount of me explaining refereeing decisions will make anyone happy. That’s why referees do not communicate with fans. It’s opening a can of worms and a complete waste of a referee’s time.

If refereeing was as simple and as easy as you think it is (call foul plus booking if need be), then there would be a larger pool of good referees to choose from.

Stop being the victim and undertand that misstakes happen. Complaining on the refereeing will only increase the time and power of VAR. It will also take away the possibility for refs to make subjective calls.

Problem is if you take away VAR we go back to the same morons completely missing blatant red cards or penalties and everyone will bitch about that.

It is a lose lose. We can only hope the process and decisions get better over time.
