It was not the first time he cost his team points, what surprised me the most was that he went that hard against his fellow Argentinian man (Enzo Fernandez) and Enzo still comforted him when he walked off (pat his back). Ange should work on discipline in that team.
Yeah, dumb mistake, but he always goes hard, i consider that a good Quality of him, as long as he doesnt overdoes it
I think everyone in the world (probably including Romero) is in agreement about this?
His ability to ride the knife-edge of crazy is one of the things that makes Romero so effective. Unfortunately, it also makes his mistakes high-impact and dangerous. His responsibility has improved significantly this season, and I hope that trajectory continues. He’s often been lucky to avoid real consequences for his rash tackles in the past, and I hope this is a reality check for him.
I can’t imagine that cultivating discipline in one of the youngest squads in the PL is not a part of Ange’s plan. I’d expect that Ange’s refusal to make excuses for his players bad decisions or disagree with ref calls will also support a culture of responsibility.
Go cry at home
