Man City awarded soft penalty against United and again against Chelsea. Other teams don’t get those decisions at all. No inconsistency.

It seems pretty much everyone but the few City fans there are agrees with this. Can’t some hacker group look into in and outcoming emails to and from PGMOL?

That was more about Taylor being anti Chelsea than being pro City.

That bald fraud has been fucking Chelsea over for years 😂

They seem to get consistently awarded pens that no one else in the league get.

The sort that you can maybe technically argue is a pen, but it’s very rare you see them awarded to anyone else.

Not saying its a conspiracy like. But just weird.

That pen Haaland won I’ve seen happen to a million players and nothing awarded.

Really no interest in renewing hostilities with any Newcastle fans, but my first reaction when it was given was I was reminded of this.

Nothing given, of course, despite practically being in his fucking shirt with him lol

City the only team where pulls in the box at set pieces that happen every game get called as a penalty. City player is allowed to commit two red card offences in quick succession and remain on the pitch. City get a penalty when their player committed the foul. City get a ref who was so crap he got demoted and has a bad history with City’s opponent.

It’s fine though, not like they’re under investigation for breaking tonnes of financial rules or anything

I’m starting to think some of you never lived through the prime Ferguson era. Remember when it was impossible to get a penalty at Old Trafford as an opposition team.

The fact is, big teams have always benefit from the referees being bias towards them - it’s just City’s turn now.

    It boggles the mind.

Haaland hauls Cucurella back which leads to him being ahead of the defender. Then the defender pulls him back and the ref gives a penalty.

Yesterday, for Burnley’s goal Koleosho (i think) and Tomiyasu were both pulling each other’s shirts. Rather than give a foul one way or the other, the ref didn’t give either player a foul and Burnley ended up scoring. I said it at the time and I’ll sa it again now: you CANNOT give a foul there.

However, today one player commits a foul. The other player commits the same foul back and the ref punishes the 2nd player and ignores the initial foul.

It’s absolutely shocking and disgusting. However, it’s EXACTLY what we expect when Antony Taylor is refereeing. He is an absolute joke of an official.

Also, the VAR should be overruling the ref there. But i’m sure it’s more financially rewarding not to do so.

It wasn’t even a penalty. Haaland pulls down Cucurella first and therefore is ahead of him. How Anthony Taylor can go from Championship to this match is beyond me.

it’s not corruption towards city specifically (well it might be but I won’t die on that hill) but there is definitely some level of corruption going on. every week there is a call that is painful to watch, sometimes more than one. I’m a neutral, I don’t support anyone in the league, but it is genuinely making it hard to watch. The quality of player is not making up for the impact VAR is having on results.

Haaland doesn’t even reach anywhere near the ball, and he started the hold first. They are not even maintaining subtlety anymore. For any other team apart from City, I can bet it was not a penalty.
