You’d have to make a hyper-literal interpretation of what he said to think that was what’s gonna happen. Saying two players bring different things to the team is just a non-committal answer to having more than one player for a position. He’d probably say the same thing about Saka and Nelson, doesn’t mean they’ll be sharing minutes.

The weird thing is someone like De Zerbi actually does rotate his keepers, so it’s not unprecedented. Arteta said he would do it and the just, didn’t.

I mean Arteta said he was going to sub them off if they’re having a bad game, that’s what I was referring to

we may see it that way but when you look deeper Ramsdale admitted he “comprimised” with what Arteta wanted from him on a podcast. and in a post match press Arteta said raya is “doing what he instructed” and mistakes happen. reading between the lines Ramsadale refused to do what arteta asked him, raya doesnt, and arteta is asking ramsdale to step it up and do it too. and if he cant we dont have time to be nice. what he says to the public is to protect the players. he cant come out and say he has dropped ramsdale. that would not be fair on him.
