I love Havertz as a person, but the reality is that some people overhype his performances to an absurd extent.

He gets praised for doing basic things that our best players literally do like 15x per game.

He has not been good, and anyone saying otherwise is just making excuses for him.

      Possibly.

      Hypocritical.

Every match I’m watching him probably 75% of the time. I keep hoping he’s going to break out, and have been given him the benefit of the doubt, but off the ball (well and on the ball) he’s just… languid.

In the last match thread I called him a “dull knife”. If he can be sharpened, great, but I’m not seeing any evidence. In the end he’s a blunt object to put in the way and you hope he doesn’t slip and cut us.

I don’t know if it’s Kai or Arteta at fault, but something needs to change.

It’s what fans do. We talk ourselves into shit despite our better judgment.

Some of the takes in this sub about him have been absolutely atrocious. People giving him 7/10 for doing absolutely nothing on the pitch and clutching at straws in general. When he’s getting praised for hitting the ball harder you know a player has set the bar incredibly low.
