Does the rest of Europe and the world dislike international breaks as much as we do in England ?
I was having this discussion with friends and I think it directly correlates with the quality of the league of your country.
For example Spain England Germany will dislike them as they would prefer to see their clubs playing , but for Croatia their national team is better than their club teams so they enjoy it.
I could be totally wrong so please let me know !
I agree. I’d much rather have the season shortened and have internationals after the season had ended.
Love it ,international football first ,ask any of us Welsh, always have ,and always will ,proud of our little nation ,play like a team .
As an aussie, i dont like the breaks. Our int team pretty much only plays friendlies and i much prefer watching the prem.
US - I guess I dislike them but I am used to them. Other US sports to consume in the fall. I enjoy mainly College Football besides PL. US national team always seems to have compelling storylines over roster and World Cup qualifying. We play Trinidad and Tobago next I would rather watch a high level PL game than this match.

Why does the EPL think that they are different from the rest?
Somebody should do a petition to get them stopped
I used to like it, until one of the best players of my favourite team in my country had a somewhat serious injury 🥲
Australians mostly love them. We get to watch our best go at it. And occasionally it’s not at 2 or 3 am for once!
It was even better when ange was boss :)
I’m in the US and I’m not that interested in watching the US team. It feels like watching MLS, which I find boring compared to PL.
Well I’m Australian, and not many of our players are in the top leagues, so…
Get into other sports like the NBA
I’m Mexican I hate the international break and wish international soccer would just die. Between corrupt officials in CONCACAF the corruption in Liga MX and FEMEXFUT, the corruption in FIFA the lack of rest the drop in quality the drunk and disorderly fans the fights and stabbings in friendlies in the US. I’m just over international soccer and I watch it less and less I’m still a bit nostalgic for the World Cup but yet another WC in the Middle East where thousands will die from heat and slave labor building stadiums is starting to make me hate that even more.
I’m from America, and unless it’s the world cup, I hate international breaks. I would much rather watch my club play than watch the US play St Kitts, Trinidad & Tobago, or Uzbekistan.
Me personally I don’t care for internationals, I’m more of a club guy but idm international breaks, only annoying thing is waiting longer for the next league match.
Yes - totally hated - becasue one’s favorite club’s players always seem to get injured in meaningless friendlies. I guess qualification matters, but with so many teams now getting into the euros and world cup, qualification seems like a joke.
