Lets ignore “who is the goat” debate. Lets say Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo become managers. Who can have better manager career in your opinion?

Cristiano Ronaldo literally carried Portugal to a Euros final as a player, got injured in the final, and then managed the team from the sidelines who then won the match against all odds. So Ronaldo.

He did not choose the starting line-up. He did not choose formation of the team. He did not choose the tactics for the game. He did not choose substitutions that were made in the game. He did not highlight the set-piece takers.

He did however jump up and down near the sidelines amd occasionaly yell at his teammates.

If that makes him a manager, then so am I a manager everytime I go to watch my local football team in the lowest league possible, because I also tend to do those things from the stands.

You’re doing too much, OP asked who would make a better manager, there’s very minimal data who would make potentially a great manager and I just went with the one scenario where one of the two players showed up as a manager. Its not that deep. Not sure why Messi fans feel the need to discredit Ronaldo from everything, its just embarrassing.
