Any ideas why two current generation phones (OnePlus 11 and the brand new Samsung S23 FE) would consistently drop their wifi connections (2.4, 5, and 6gHz) in my home network every few minutes, while older phones (Pixel 5a and 6a, OnePlus 8 Pro) maintain rock solid wifi connections on 2.4 and 5gHz from the same router (TP-Link AXE95)? Suggestions how to fix? Thanks.
Oh, and I’ve tried shutting off the 6gHz band on the new phones. They drop the connection on the older bands every few minutes, too.
PSA (granted, doesn’t apply to OP):
Anyone looking for tools to test wifi signal strength around their home will doubtlessly come across Android-only solutions like Wifi Analyzer. Buried in just one forum after hours of looking was the tool for iPhones. It’s an Apple app but it needs to be downloaded from the app store - AirPort Utility. Once installed, find it in settings to enable Wi-Fi Scanner and you’re golden. Updates the -dbm every 3 seconds.
