Roman Abramovich is accused of paying people under the table. Man City have 115 charges.

Under Abramovich Chelsea have won - 5 League titles, 2 UCLs, 2 Europa Leagues, 5 FA Cups, 3 energy drink Cups, 2 supercups,

Under Sheikh Mansour Man City have won - 7 league titles, 1 UCL, 3 FA Cups 6 energy drink cups, 1 super cup.

Lets say hypothetically the EPL manage to prove it happened. And the points deduction is something that even Man City cannot recover from Eg. 90+ points deducted.

Would you be willing to accept a relegation to the championship for the above memories?

Eg. you saw your club win those things and have the memories of watching it?

With FFP etc I think City and Chelsea would both be heading towards bankruptcy through never ending FFP failures, penalties, and more relegations and the cycle gets worse

Hoping and whining, just hoping and whining. No matter what happens we’ll have Stevie G’s slip, Aguero, KdB, Silva, Haaland, Vinny, Fernando, Dias, Jonny Stones, Gundogan, Walker, Zab. Memories and players that are indelible on my and your and every football fan’s memory. The best team to ever grace our country. We’re probably innocent, if not we’ll probably get away with it and if not, I don’t care. I love my club. CTID

Accept relagation for the kind of success you mentioned??

    1,000,000%

If we’re presuming all accusations are true, take city for example, without breaking the rules there accused of breaking, couldn’t of had the all the top players they’ve had over the years rising to the top.

If they get relegated would they suddenly not become arguably the best team in the world? I don’t even think they’d loose any players lol an then they’d also get a bite at the 100mil you get for promotion to prem the following year.

For me if these accusations are true, then the horse has already bolted, you can’t undo the gains gotten by breaking the rules, it’s just the normal ethos of FFP

The richest clubs breaking financial rules? Let’s fine them, yeh they’ll definitely feel that

The best club on the pitch that consistently gets most points and easy wins? Take some points of them, yeh they’ll deffo feel that…

If it was up to me the punishment should follow whatever rules you broke, if you inflated your sponsorships so the club can spend more money and you did it across a 6 year period, then I’d follow the detail and slap it back at them, ok next 6 years you have a spending cap, can’t spend more than 50mil in a window or something like that.

Fact remains if city get found guilty and docked points or relegated, they’d take there punishment and be back an then all that’s left is banter really.

I am assuming if they are willing to relegate them they will strip them of titles as well

not that anything is going to happen, the FA have no spine and City are their darlings

They can’t strip titles, I believe it’s not a penalty they can deal. Which makes it all the more galling that these things drag on 14 years.

Even if relegated you could argue it’s the price of doing business and well worth the cost. A team like City couldn’t have become what it is by following rules designed to stifle competition and let the same group of preferred teams win the league.

The fact that anyone thinks the FA like City is a mystery to me. Both UEFA and the FA hate city and that’s why we boy anthems and turn our backs.

No. Much rather trophies (if) won under false pretences just be stripped entirely, and they be put at step 6.

1 relegation in the grand scheme of things wouldn’t effect either of these clubs for the long-term.

If charged I hope all their titles get stripped too. Not awarded to any other team, just stripped.

lol. Chelsea and City are the two Clubs that won the most trophies in the last 20 years of english football. While they are writing history all the other clubs try to grasp on the memories of the old, forgotten glory days where they once won a trophy or two. Like 40 years ago or some bullshit like this. And they are proud of it that their last trophy was this long ago. They call it history. Yeah, im sure all your grandpas had an amazing time.

Chelsea made the premier league lively again. Man united and arsenal would have won every damn year. Lets be honest, united alot more than arsenal. Chelsea made it interesting again. Suddenly there was new competition. What actually was also better for the smaller teams at the end of the day but you aint ready for this topic. They rescued the premier league you should all fall on your knees and kiss their boots for that or you would have bayern 2.0 with united and 11 wins in a row. After what Chelsea did foreign billionairs looked at it and saw it was possible and thats how City came along. They added another name to the mix. Cry all you want. You small clubs wish you would have someone stucking some money down your clubs ass. [Insert any of those petty other 14 clubs name] fans wish they had an owner who invest like city. Now all the fragile little peoples want to dismiss all those accomplishments as if Chelsea didnt ended Arsenal and City didnt ended United ON THE PITCH and started a new era of football. They obliterated you and instead of welcoming new competition you cry cheats and god knows what. As if the other clubs didnt do the same shit. Yeah sure, United never paid some extra cash. Sure, Juve didnt do that. Barca is a holy lamb they would never do that. Ahm… anybody remember Blackburn Rovers? Lmao. All you guys are petty as fuck. You would take those accomplishments in a heart beat. The smaller clubs never saw european play for decades and even the best of the small clubs, Spurs, didnt win shit for 30 years.

But sure, lie to yourself and all the others lmfao

Sooo you are asking if they want a perceived happy childhood and find out it’s all a lie in their 20s and might not recover from that trauma for decades?

I’ve really enjoyed these years as a City fan and would follow us down the divisions if we get hit with a penalty. The alleged “cheating” is offering higher wages to players as the Chelsea fan said. It’s not match fixing or anything dirty. Also just seeing the football we played and the team spirit we have going is something I’ll never forget.

Nah. It’s fun to overperform as underdogs. Non-elite team fans would’ve just picked a bandwagon team to start with if they felt this way.

With Chelsea, isn’t the investigation from 2012 to 2017? So would you strip Chelsea’s trophies from when RA first came to 2012 (just after we won the Champions League)

You could only strip titles for what you could prove?

It’s the very reason why the opposing rhetoric “we’ll look through the history books and see who else cheated” doesn’t work. We can’t prove Huddersfield (a random example) cheated for their titles, so unfortunately they gotta stay. Even if we are certain Chelsea cheated in 04-12 you could only strip the titles that you can physically prove had some sort of unfair advantage.

Seeing them relegated - if convicted, obviously - is something I’d give anything to see. Also, a couple of transfer window bans or they’ll just spend a quick year on the naughty step and everything will go back to normal.

It’d be more pertinent to ask Portsmouth fans if the FA cup was worth everything that came afterwards.

Maybe they think it was, maybe not… but the fa cup and financial ruin were intrinsically linked.

As a Pompey fan. Yes. It was fucking brilliant winning the FA Cup. Years since have been shit but getting better now. Considering only 4(?) teams outside of the big 6 have won in it the last 30 years it’s something that not many fans have experienced or probably ever will.
