Pedri is probably the closest with the football “joy”. Not sure how else I can put it. The inventiveness, trickery, close control, feints. Not so much relying on pure physical explosiveness like pace and power.
Before injuries, he was very much running the show at barca. Let’s hope he gets back to his best.
Currently I’d say Maddison is closest to running the show like zidane. Helped out by having biss and sarr running about to cover the defense.
I haven’t watched enough about pogba in juve, but I’m pretty sure alongside pirlo, marchisio et.Al., he didn’t run the show.
