    I really don’t know why finding a young player with a similar profile wasn’t a priority given that we’ve known his injury record

      It’s pretty hard to find tbf, probably the closest profile we’ve had since Cazorla but built defensively like a destroyer

      We spent a record fee for a replacement. The best DM profile in the world.

      What we messed up with was the LCM profile. Basically, we replaced Thomas, but not Xhaka and that’s what we could be in the market for.

      Now, what happens with Kai Havertz remains to be seen. If he wakes up from slumber, he has to start either for form, or the board justifying the £65M.

      I think a really close profile to Partey would be Manu Koné, but he’s young and not there as a 6. He’s similar to Partey with the same age. Very good on the ball and dribbling in tight spaces, physical with good defensive attributes. What he lacks is the line breaking passes and vision. Would Arteta settle for another young profile? I don’t know, at this point our project probably demands ready now players.
