I don’t think it is realistic, but if they had to go to the Championship, do you think there will be players who want to stay and get up again, or they just look for an other Club? Which club would even be a possibility for the biggest city stars?

Sorry for my english

Is there not an additional risk they deem the ownership not fit and proper and force a sale on top of everything else?

The fit and proper person test when it comes to football basically comes down to someone having the money they claim to have, and being able to keep a club solvent. Main ways people fail said test is if they’re legally banned from being a company director, file for bankruptcy or have a history of being involved with clubs that have become insolvent.

City have obviously been accused of fudging their books but there’s no world in which Sheikh Mansour could be deemed unable to support the club financially.
