Personally I have to say the playoffs semi final in 2013. Watford vs Leicester. Penalty at the 95th minute. Blocked twice and booted across the field. Then an incredible goal by Troy Deeney. Now what do you guys think?
World Cup Final 2022
Everton v Liverpool. 4-4. FA Cup 1991. What a game. The following week Kenny Dalgleish resigned as manager. The most crazy match I ever saw.
Man city aguerooooooooo
“heres Hogg…DEEENEYYYY!”
Without a doubt, 1999 CL final, Man United v Bayern Munich, by the numbers!
6’ Bayern scores 90’ 0-1 3’ injury time 2 subs (Teddy & Ole) 2 corners (Becks) 2 goals (Teddy & Ole) 2-1 at final whistle
Moreover, it was the climax to the first ever English treble.
It simply does not get any better.
France had some bangers. Switzerland-France when Mbappe missed the penalty and the WC Final against Argentina, when Martinez blocked Kolo Muani leading to a penalty shootout.
That’s definitely up there. The Suarez goal to win the title at the last second. The 2022 WC final. 1999 CL final.
Motherwell 2-1 Celtic. Two late goals meant Rangers won the league on the final day.
Helicopter Sunday! What a night
angrily yes
I think the Liverpool game against Barca in return leg of CL semifinal and the Spurs against Ajax in same Competition has to be up there
1989 Arsenal v Liverpool, not really even a debate.
2nd would probably be when United came back from the dead against Bayern in the Champions League final
On the international stage I’d probably go for Trezeguets golden goal against Italy in the Euro 2000 final
I’m massively biased here but Jimmy Glass
Yessssss
English First Division.
Liverpool 0–2 Arsenal (1989)
Final day of the season. It was considered Liverpool’s trophy already. Arsenal had to beat the best team in England by 2 goals and scored the second in the dying seconds to pip Liverpool to the trophy.
Most on this sub are probably too young to remember it, but what a game.
Thomas…it’s up for grabs now!
Best ending to an English top flight season by far.
The shots of the Liverpool players asking the ref how much time left, it’s just so beautiful
Steve ‘One-minute’ McMahon.
Important context here is that by winning 2-0 Arsenal would only draw level on points. So, down to goal difference then. 2-0 would actually make them level on goal difference too. Arsenal won with pretty much the last kick of the entire season and even then they won because they scored more goals. There may never be a tighter finish.
I was there, aged 17 in the away end that Thomas scored in. Absolute pandemonium. Still gives me goosebumps and heart palpitations when I watch it now.
You lucky bastard. My favourite ever non United game.
France- Italia, euro final 2000.
France score on the last action of the match and then win in overtime. Two nice goals too.
I think italian wont have the same opinion…
