Maybe Adidas just produce a set bulk amount and then say ‘here you go, now go out there and be sold’. The popularity of the black kit probably wasn’t expected otherwise they might’ve upped up the numbers at the start of production. Getting to the end of the season they probably didn’t bother producing more as they were moving to produce the next season’s kits. I agree tho, they could’ve had the black kit as the away one for a second season it was that well loved.
The limited numbers for the women’s away kit is frustrating too - maybe Adidas were testing the water as it was the women’s bespoke kit and didn’t have enough faith to produce higher numbers, but the lack in availability for that for those that missed it is frustrating as well
