I’m kind of scared to update my S23 Ultra to one ui 6.0 android 14 which came to my phone today (as of this post) I paid over 1000 dollars plus for this device through Verizon and I’ll be highly upset if I’m one of the unlucky ones and have my device bricked. I have a lot of important pics and vids I don’t want to lose forever because I can’t get them back ever again

Backup your data?
Samsung Switch, install on PC or Mac, do a full backup before upgrading. Problem solved.
If you’re scared and naive enough to post on Reddit without doing any prior research aside from a couple headlines you’ve seen then don’t update.
If you want to update it then backup your data and go for it. This isn’t Russian roulette, it’s a phone update.
Its great, better animations and battery life
Why would the update brick your phone? You are nuts.
What about making some backup before updating? And my advice is you should do backup anyway if you have important photos and vids in your phone.
I don’t get this update paranoia.
