Was Erik ten Hag wrong in his attitude with Cristiano Ronaldo? Or vise versa?

Worst manager they had in 4 decades I’ve been watching United, egotistical, rigid, poor spending, poor tactics, none of the experienced players rate him, it’s that obvious

In my opinion, no manager or club, be it Real Madrid, Man Utd, or Barcelona, should compromise on the demands of any individual.

Yes, ETH is a shit coach. Has no system but relies on players to perform. When he first joined he was all over the media saying he needed Ronaldo because in order to win they needed to score goals however didn’t start him the next three games. You could tell he was faking it all along. ETH has his favorites and if you’re not in that list you can get in trouble for the dumbest things, think de gea, sancho. He runs to the media the second he has an issue with a player. No need to call people out on national television. Man up and do it face to face, solve all your problems inside the locker room. Last year Man U and ETH were bailed out by Rashford’s incredible goal scoring form, this year they’ll be lucky to finish in the first half of the table. I also don’t think Ronaldo’s interview was a good idea but I think his intention was to complain more about the club and owners than ETH.

Ronaldo was finished and was only bought for the commercial business. This club should have never bought him back. Any big club wouldn’t have. When Madrid let their players go, they don’t look back. Kinda sums up the state of the club. I’m glad ten hag got him out. A few more dead wood to go.

The problem was more that the season before United had many players with more than 10 goals, then Ronaldo arrived and he was the only one scoring. Yea sure he scored many important goals but hampered other players from scoring. All focus of attack was him and nobody else so United were very limited and relying on him. Of course he is a brilliant player but not the player he was 10 years ago, which you could rely on for goals almost every game

Nope. No player is above the badge, even Ronaldo. The club had been letting players run it since SAF left and that was part of the problem.

I love to meme on United with the best of them, but ETH was absolutely correct in binning Ronaldo. A fine player on his day, but a massive diva with an unbridled ego.

The interview was in bad taste but let’s be real there is truth to what Ronaldo said about the state of United and ten hag. Ten Hag is a bit of a fraud himself and had been bailed out by Varane and Licha last season. United’s attack has been shameful for the last 3 or 4 seasons , atleast with Ronaldo they had a bit of a focal point
