Hi guys. After a lifetime with iPhone I am considering switching to Android with Samsung Galaxy taking advantage of Black Friday.
What are the advantages and disadvantages? I would buy S23 Plus. It should cost around €750.
I currently use iCloud to keep my photos, notes, contacts, etc. safe. I do not have Apple Watch, but I have a Mac mini M1.
Is anyone familiar with both systems and can tell me about them in detail? Does this make sense or should I stay on iPhone?
Let’s say iOS is a bit boring, sometimes cumbersome, but I don’t know if the grass is greener on the other side.
Thanks!
The only bit I will say is technical support from Apple is a breeze compared to Samsung. I spent a week trying to get a technical error fixed to finance a phone- and ended up just buying it out right after 3 online chats and roughly 10 phone calls of getting put on hold and never resolved the issue. (I just needed an address updated, and it wasn’t updating on Samsungs end for whatever reason) If you break a screen, or have a physical issue with the phone you will need to take it to a Certified Service Dealer/Provider for under warranty and Samsung plus repairs. They’re all over the place, and this is honestly a breeze. I find when I’ve had to take my phone in it was addressed and fixed quicker than Apple repairs for my Mac & iPads.
With that noted, I use Samsung for my phone and am trying out their watch. All my other devices are Apple, but the phones overall are superior. I also haven’t experiences a Samsung ever slowing down to the point of annoyance or overall unusable after a few years.
