We currently have 1 GIG internet with Frontier (Modem model NVG468MQ), recently I will begin to lag whenever my dad starts using his PC. I have check task manager and confirmed that it’s not CPU, GPU, or lack of storage. In the task manager ethernet setting I will see my send & receive constantly hit 0 than not go over 100 KBPs. I have watched tutorials on how to set up your routers Qos, but my router settings do not look like others. Where others have more options, it seems my Qos would be for phone lines? I feel like 1 GIG of internet should be enough, we have 2 PC’s hard lined to the one router and a different router for all wireless. Any ideas of how to fix, or a different way to set up a fix.
Those QoS settings are not useful. Since this is the Advanced - QoS section, is there a basic QoS section? There may be more settings there.
Did you check the send/receive rates on your Dad’s PC?
The only other thing I can think of is an IP address conflict. Check you and your Dad’s PC and make sure they are not using the same IP address.
