Is there even a good reason for this and seems weird sticking two title rivals in that time. Can imagine it will also be very difficult for Liverpool fans travelling up from London so early to get to the game on time

i think even this season Liverpool have the most 13.30 kick off games.

i just check for arsenal and i think we only have 1, i think we also have the least 13.30 kick-off this calender year.

Because broadcasters don’t give a fuck about fairness, just about money and Liverpool sell more sports packages than anyone else across asia where the time difference makes the early Kickoff the premium spot.

TNT own the 12:30 Saturday slot and they love to pick us because (in a European context) we are englands biggest team and they have the European competition rights

They are only thinking about Liverpudlians jobs of stealing cars and slinging drugs. If you ask me they doing that city a favour having them kick-off during non business hours.

Ever since klopp Liverpool have played 13 or 14 times in that time slot , Tottenham is second with 6 matches at that time …

I am not sure it’s some kinda conspiracy or anything but it’s just plain weird

Not weird though is it? It’s only weird if you’re assuming every team should get an equal scheduling distribution which is never the case. They’ll be other teams that play many more Monday night games for example.

Liverpool act like the opposition don’t have to play at 12.30pm too and they’re somehow impeded by that time slot. there’s no disadvantage.

Its not a conspiracy, and you’re insane if you think an extra 2 and half hours makes any difference.

You are popular in Asia, that is the Asia time slot… because you are popular in Asia you are picked for that time slot more often, and therefore get more TV money (for being picked 28 times a season to be on TV, compared to other clubs only getting picked 10-12 times) and thus you get vastly more sponsorship money.

But sure the extra £400m you get compared to the other 14 clubs is a conspiracy…

I also think it might have to do with discouraging (reduce the chance) the fans that cause trouble from attending the games. The fans that cause trouble to opposing team couches with flairs, smokebombs and other objects are less likely to make the early commute.

Do you have empirical evidence that Liverpool play more early kick offs or are you just annoyed at this one particular instance?
