Different font and notification panel. Why was it hyped so much?

Omenfeature that no one talks about but actually is amazing is the fact that you can turn on a mode with a routine and not just the other way around. It gives a lot of possibilities for automation

Because people hype up updates for the stuff you can’t see. There wasn’t much different outwardly between 4 and 5 either. There won’t be much different between 6 and 7. But you can start picking apart the differences between 4 and 6.

Dig a little deeper. There is more to it than that.

Camera functions and widgets, video editing studio, updated Good Lock modules, auto blocker for USB command, etc. There was a lot of refinement put into the update. Not sure what world changing updates you were expecting? The platform is pretty mature so most changes are going to be under the hood and polish.

People complain about issues with EVERY SINGLE OS UPDATE. It’s not a One UI 6 thing, or an Android thing. It happens on Windows, MacOS and iOS. Rephrase your comment to say that “some” people are and I’d agree with you.

Like anything else, people post complaints. When things work as they’re supposed to, nobody is posting “everything works!!”. They’re too busy just using their devices. Try a little harder before responding. That was lazy.

Most of the new feature in new OS is usually reserved for the latest and greatest Flagships for OneUI 6 it will be s24 series

You get OS update to add some minor features and improvement in QOL thats all

Losing the vertical app drawer was unexpected and the most noticeable lost feature

Android is quite mature now so not sure why people expect a drastic UI change just for the sake of change. A lot goes on behind the scenes in terms of security and bug fixes, along with other minor quality of life changes. On my s23 ultra the phone feels a lot snappier so I’m quite liking the update. The new font is actually refreshing to me, just enough of a UI change to have that new update feeling.

Some were hyped to the point to want to install the beta on their main phone in a country that did not allow to participate to the beta program… 🤔

Year after year, new OneUI and Android features are more and more minor. There are a few nice things, but nothing to be excited.

Mind this is pretty much the same on the iPhone side…
