What do you think about Mourinho’s statements on La Liga’s lack of competitiveness ?

“I was in Spain, but I didn’t enjoy it because I won a title with a record of 100 points and 121 goals, but we played only three or four competitive matches all season. There is a big, big gap between the giants and the others."

“This season I rested a few players against Bradford and I lost against Bradford. And that is English football. You are winning 2-0 and you concede a goal you know you are going to have hell for the last few minutes and you might draw 2-2 and lose two points,”

“This is the reality of the Premier League. You have no time. It’s not just about the number of matches, it’s the intensity. And it’s not just physical intensity, you feel the intensity mentally.

“I think the difference between the two leagues [Premier League and La Liga] is huge. Would they [Barcelona and Real Madrid] win the Premier League? Maybe yes. Maybe not.”

Just curious. I’ve always thought Premier League is better than La Liga. But, how do we all reconcile that with European results? It’s not just Barca and Real in UCL. It also includes Atlético and Sevilla in UEL. Is it that EPL is deeper so top teams are more tired in Europe?

The Spanish league is less intensive and those teams can manage their squads easier with resting players etc. In the premier league you have to play your best or else you will just lose. In als Liga you could play squad players and still win especially if you’re the top two. So you get a good team that’s better rested playing a good team that plays intense games twice a week. We always see teams being weaker after a champions league game, you can’t even rest your players in the prem because you will risk losing. You don’t have that in La Liga. They still play good football but edge it out having an easier league.

I think that 2011/2012 Real and Barça would dominate any league at any giving time. Like look at city they are crushing everyone in PL for a decade.

Conte said the same thing. Of course fans of other leagues will always deny it but the managers and players always say the same thing- the EPL is harder and more stressful than any other league.

In the last 10 years in the Premier League, Man United, Man City, Leicester, Chelsea, and Liverpool all won the league. In La Liga - Real Madrid, Barca and Atletico. La Liga is dull compared to the Prem.

So City have been dominant in the past few years…? That doesn’t change anything, the competition as a whole is more competitive than La Liga, Real and Barca are always in the UCL.

He Is right and Is quite obvious, plus positioning bonus for the premier league is no joke, ofc team focus more on the league
