I’m trying to go from t-mobile to AT&T. They told me if I trade in my s20FE I can get the 23 ultra [just have to pay for sales tax and one time installment fee] as long as the phone isn’t damaged. The thing is my s20 has a crack in the screen. I have insurance so I’m going to get it fixed with t-mobile and then trade it with AT&T to get the 23. AT&T told me they don’t take refurbished phones. Will they know if it’s just the screen that was fixed?

It’s hard to say. When I’ve traded mine phones in, they barely even look at the device. Just do it in person if possible.

They probably won’t know. At the store they’ll do a physical inspection of the device. As long as there are no visible issues you should be fine.

Its possible that there will be a more serious inspection after the store send it off, but again, not likely to be an issue. The phone works.
