Kyle Lafferty, Graham Dorans and Jason Naismith play for Johnstone Burgh in the 7th tier of Scottish football. Lafferty is on £1,500 a week with about a £20k sign on fee. You’d need to go to the Scottish championship/SPFL1 for even a resemblance of those wages. Doran’s and Naismith supposedly on a grand a week. Their entire teams wages the season before they joined was about £19k per year.
I imagine Macclesfield have a sugar daddy just like Burgh do.
He played the first 2 games of the season and has been ruled out indefinitely with injury which required surgery. About 2 weeks work for £100k+ and a club physio to look after you is alright. No matter how “easy” your job might be, you definitely worked harder for that money lol
Go look at his history. He had one hot streak in 2017 where he scored five goals in seven games. He scored three over his next fifteen. He didn’t score a single goal in the next two seasons, and his final year at Everton (19/20) he played three times for 19 minutes total.
He didn’t have a club in 20/21, played a couple of short term contracts in League One, with four goals in 1200 minutes.
Wait, what happened to him? Is he really only good enough for the 7th tier?
His career’s been on the slide majorly ever since he left Everton years ago. Still, you’d think he might at least attract a tier 5/tier 6 side.

It always feel surreal to me when I learn I make more than a professional footballer (who I’ve seen play)

Well before he got to Everton. Terrible signing
