Obviously Nike have designed the premier league ball for the last 20+ years and Mitre had the 90’s. But pre-premier league when did a standard ball across the league come into effect?

Surprised Germany didn’t have a standard ball considering Adidas basically dominate the industry
During the 1980s, the Mitre Delta 1000 Football League Ball was used exclusively throughout the Football League.
Every game was played with this ball and it had the Football League Logo on it.
Going back further, every World Cup has had a standard ball for that competition and in 66 the Slazenger Victory ball was used. I believe this was used pretty frequently across the game, but I don’t think it was exclusive.
