What are some reasons you chose S23/S23+ over S23 Ultra? For me I like the flat screen and form factor of the Plus.

S23+ here. I really considered the Ultra (camera is a great deal for me and they were basically at the same price at the time) but I tried both in person and the Ultra felt way heavier and larger in common use (probably because of boxier shape).

IMHO, if you don’t use s-pen a lot and 10x camera is for travelling only, consider that ease of use is a 365 days advantage

Army here. I was at a training exercise in CA, and my s22u broke. I bought the s23+ because it has a flat screen. I wanted the ultra, but the curved screen is too delicate for m my lifestyle.

Compact size was the main reason and maybe the thought of not going over the board for a smartphone, as S23 ultra is actually pretty expensive for a teenager

Went with the plus, the size of the ultra is too big for me, it’s more expensive and the only benefit for my use case is a slightly bigger battery.

The pen is novel, but I’ve never had one before and so not sure how much use I would really get it of it

If Samsung would put the camera system in the ultra on the plus it would 100% be a home run phone

I would so much rather have the + than the ultra. Flat screen + rounded corners >>>>>>>>>>>> Curved screen + sharp corners.

Completely backwards. Infinity displays look premium, and so do the thin bezel sharp corners. It looks modern

          Sharp corners suck.

S22 ultra, and s23 ultra were such a downgrade in ergonomics from the s22 ultra.

More reasons why S needs to go back to low end basic flagships and stop pretending to be a top end note, and give us real top end note back. You S users can’t handle Note and note shaped phones, and us note users don’t want these low quality wannabe note shaped S ultras.

I’m sure they know that camera has to be a feature that upsells people for ultra.

How did you manage that? Right now 256gb is $750 vs $900. Either way, I’m still debating.

Right now with s21u trade in, s23u is 450 before taxes. If it was 350 I would buy it but at 450 its a bit too expensive. Prices may drop further as s24u release is getting closer.

Tried the S23Ultra. Fantastic phone with 2 huge issues for me

a)curved screen and ultrasonic sensor make most tempered glasses a no go.

And i hate using screen protectors. It feels worse for me.

b)very expensive. Now this is no surprise of course as its the most expensive model. What sucks even more is that the base version here in Europe is only 8/256, which i think is low for a flagship like this.

So atm i settled on base S23 which i really like, except the battery which gets the job done, but is nowhere close to S23+ or Ultra.

In mid August I switched from an iPhone 12 to the S23+. The reason why I didn’t choose the S23 was because I didn’t want the smaller screen. People often referred to it as a compact phone. The reason I didn’t choose the Ultra is because it felt really big when I held it in person, and I didn’t want to shell out the extra money for what I was getting. The $200 difference between the S23+ and the Ultra just didn’t seem worth it

S23 here. -i dont play games on phone as i have a tablet -dont like or need a big screen -dont need that superior camera -better price -the form factor feels better in hand and is easy to text with one hand

As someone that will be buying the base s23 soon. It’s for one reason. The size.

I absolutely hate big phones, the ultra is gigantic and unless you’re an NBA player, there’s no way you can use it comfortably.

I bought a normal S23 simply because I don’t need the S-Pen, the 10x telephoto, the added battery life (it is enough with the S23), it is lighter, fits better in pockets… and it is cheaper!
