Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has vowed to continue speaking his mind and has argued against a Football Association (FA) charge for his strong criticism of match officials after this month’s Newcastle loss.
Anthony Gordon’s decisive goal was allowed to stand after VAR looked at three separate aspects of the move, with Arteta calling the decision a “disgrace” and the manager saying he was embarrassed to be involved in the league.
That landed him in trouble with the Football Association, which charged him with misconduct.
Arsenal have lodged their response to the charge...
Can they really punish the manager and club for responding to questions? How is that legally binded? Like… they had to sign up for the league and have piece of paper stating “if we fuck up, you shut up”? Its weird they can do that. He and everyone else should be able to speak his mind.
