We got to see Trossard in the left 8 today and I can honestly say I hated it. People have been calling for it for so long. Well I hope you guys are satisfied.
I thought Trossard was awful in that position. It’s all well and good doing it in preseason, but the Premier league is much tougher. I didn’t see him win a single duel. He got out muscled. He lost possession a few times. I don’t want to see it again.
Didn’t think he was outmatched physicality at all really despite him having the presence of Stuart Little. He was ok in a tough gritty game where the ball was in the air for 10 minutes at a time.
Definitely serviceable there for me
I saw something completely different to you but fair enough. He was okay on attack, but defensively, I did not like what I saw. He tried but clearly it’s not his forte
Brentford usually play a back 5 and a midfield 3, with 2 of Yissa and Mbeumo. You can pack all the short midfielders you went and win. It’s just too much of a risk Vs many other clubs.
Yeah he got shoved off the ball like it was nothing a couple times. He’s also deceptively quick but has very little sprint endurance and will get beaten to loose balls 9 times out of 10. He should be starting, just on the left wing.
He won half his duels which isn’t terrible especially against a physical side, but he lost possession 18 times which isn’t great.
