My S8+ is in pristine condition. Everything works as intended, my screen or back is not cracked or anything. However, the battery has gotten seriously bad over the years to the point it only last 3-4 hours (with AOD). I have a 256GB SD card to store all my stuff. Should I change the battery or move on?

Whats the point of this topic exactly??

The S8+ is a 2017 device stuck in android 9(we are at android 14).

Not only that but hardware wise its inferior in every way against S23Ultra.

What do you mean if its worth upgrading???

I agree with you. People raving about their battery depleted S10+'s is rather comical.

I’m on s10+. I changed my battery about 6 months ago cause it bloated.

Am typing this on my s10+

Not everyone needs the latest and greatest. I use byod plans so I buyout my phone. If it works (as it does now) no reason to change it.

        I don’t think I see people raving about s10+

All the comments I’ve seen is same as me, the shit still works and we don’t do fancy stuff so no need to upgrade.

Sounds like you’re a tech enthusiast since you come and post on these forums. you’d make a prime candidate to roll with something newer. But hey, to each their own.

I’m on a tight budget right now. Buying a new phone right now isn’t a great choice, but I could live with it. My current phone is literally enough for me, except for the battery (I fixed this problem with an external battery)
