I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for as long as I can remember, except for that one regrettable time I switched to LG when Samsung decided to ditch the microSD card slot on the Galaxy S6. That was a huge mistake, and I quickly realized that there’s no substitute for Samsung’s superior innovation and user experience.
So, I was thrilled when I finally got my hands on the new Galaxy S23 Ultra. I was expecting it to be the best Samsung phone yet, and for the most part, it is. But then I hit a snag – I ran out of storage space.
I know, I know, what was I thinking taking all those amazing 100x moon pictures and 8K videos? But hey, that’s what Samsung phones are for, right? Capturing all those precious moments in stunning detail.
So, I had to do the unthinkable – delete some of my precious memories to make room for more. It was like telling a parent to choose their favorite child. It was heartbreaking.
And then it dawned on me – I was starting to feel like an iPhone loser…I mean user. Having to constantly worry about storage space and dealing with the slowness of cloud storage. It was a nightmare.
Samsung, I implore you, please bring back the microSD card slot! Your loyal customers deserve better. We’ve been with you through thick and thin, even defending you during the exploding Galaxy Note 7 debacle, and we’re not going anywhere. But we do need some more storage space.
Please, don’t let the Galaxy S23 Ultra be the start of a downward spiral. Remember what made Samsung great in the first place – innovation and user experience. Don’t abandon your loyal customers for the sake of a few extra bucks.
We, the loyal Samsung fans, deserve better. We deserve a phone that can store all our precious memories without compromise. We deserve a phone that makes us feel like we’re on top of the world, not like we’re just another iPhone user.
So, please, Samsung, hear our plea. Bring back the microSD card slot and restore the feeling of superiority that has long defined the Samsung experience.
This is such a 2015 argument 🙄
There is a reason more storage options are available.
You should have bought the 512gb S23U, if you wanted to shoot tons of photos and especially 8k videos, what exactly did you expect???
You can’t just plug your phone into your PC? I mean this complaint is a couple years late lol
Back up your photos and videos. There’s no reason to keep every photo and video you ever take on your phone. If you actually did permanently delete stuff that was important to you like you claim, then that is 100% your fault. I back up anything important to both my PC and a backup drive. If you don’t ever backup/transfer your photos and videos from your phone, then nothing Samsung does is going to be enough for you.
Use Onedrive or Google Photos to backup your camera roll and set to free up space on device once backed up. Easy fix.
You want an SD card slot so you can keep GBs/TBs of data on local, physical storage? That’s a lot of eggs to put in one basket. I don’t imagine people in their right minds wanting that.
Be honest you wrote this with ChatGPT
Easy fix, anything thats more than 2 years old, including those long recorded videos dump them on your PC and buy a 2tb or 4tb Portable SSD as a backup for the pis/vids on Computer. That way you can never lose your data and don’t have to worry about long term (always increasing) cloud payments as companies know that everyone will keep maxing out maxing out their storage limits as they save things over time & worring about access when you can’t pay their cloud storage fees.
Thats what im doing. The next thing to do (when you have money is a small home NAS which you can find YouTube videos on that but its basically hosting your own Cloud storage. There are SIMPLE ones and then there are more Technical advanced ones. It’s up to you.
I hope this helps you
This complain as a lot of users here said, is a little late. Now every major company switched to internal storage and a cloud space, I’m using onedrive only for the pictures and videos that i take and i can reach it everytime i want with my phone or laptop.
Expandable storage is a great thing that we lost sadly.
My cloud storage isn’t slow. And I don’t need 4k video of everything. Even people that need to record hours and hours of b roll in 4k for editing later are smart enough to use another storage device. I never get people that need to have all the media they have ever downloaded or recorded with them at all times.
You’re just not good at using all the options available to you on a phone that’s basically a computer. It’s nothing to do with being an iPhone user, especially since it’s not just Samsung and iPhone that don’t have expandable storage. Judge your experience on its own merits and leave out the childish brand slap fighting. They won’t reward you for calling people names on their behalf.
Get good, that’s the moral of this story. There are many options available before you get to “I had to delete everything and now I feel like an iLoser 😭😭”
Also if you need a phone feature to make you feel superior. You’re kinda just like the people you’re trying ti make fun of
You don’t want to leave your photos on your device. It has to be uploaded to a cloud – either OneDrive, Google Photo, or Western Digital MyCloud. Phones break or get lost.
