I really dislike this line of thinking.Think it’s more that it has been shown to be dangerous for trans people to just exist as they are in public, whereas online they prob feel safer expressing their true self.

If you’ve gone 30+ years without ever meeting a trans person, maybe it’s cuz trans people have never felt safe being open about it with you?

Lmao of course, immediately blame someone because they never knowingly met a trans person.

Trans people still make up a pretty small percentage of the population

Maybe they don’t feel safe around me, but I’ve always been open minded and a curious person. I don’t think I give those kind of vibes.

And I agree that it is dangerous to just exist for trans people, and I understand, like for neurodivergent people, reddit is a much safer place than real life.

      No animosity here.

But like someone said in this thread, maybe I met some and didn’t even notice. Those conversations never came up.
