Why is it never like „yeah he played in the 70s and is leading scorer off xyz“
You can check that, i am not talking bs, its hard to find a leading scorer that was in his prime between 1970-90

It’s definitely to do with how regularly games are played against weaker teams, and absolutely nothing to do with how often games are played.
Klinsmann played 108 games for Germany. That’s extremely comparable to today
Klinsmann didn’t play in the 70s either
