On October 7th 2021 a user named Carl92 posted a short recording on WatZatSong. He claimed to have found the file on an old DVD backup from 1999. The song sounds like it’s from the 80s or 90s. You can listen to the original here.

Part of the lyrics that can be made out well may be “Everyone knows that you’ve got ulterior motives”, which led to the appointed title of the song becoming “Everyone Knows That”. It is not verified to be the actual title of the song, and the origin of the song has not yet been found.

Many theories are floating around. An interesting and most likely one is that the song was made specifically for an old commercial. This could mean that it wasn’t distributed as a song and is therefor hard or perhaps even impossible to find. The more I listen to it, the more it sounds like a song that would play in a commercial.

    Forgor to do this, sorry.

[The image, AI generated, is of a pink radio, specifically the model NP400GB also known as the Nextplay Glitz and Glitter Boombox, which has for some reason been associated with the lost song. It is unplugged and placed upon a pink bed with pink pillows. Fun fact, this radio is also featured in the Bratz movie.]
