The tale as old as time. I have been using iPhones exclusively since the 3Gs. I have AirPods, an Apple Watch (that I’m selling as I don’t like the way it feels on my wrist), and an iPad. I currently have an iPhone 14+ and I love it. Works seamlessly and the battery life is wonderful. Even though I love this phone, I really really want to switch over to a Galaxy S23. I feel like I’m really constricted with iPhones now. I know it sounds stupid, but switching is hard as hell man. My wife uses an iPhones, 90% of my friends use iPhones, and my family does as well. I guess I’m just trying to get out of the herd mentality when it comes to iPhones. Nervous that I will get a phone I will regret getting. Rant over lol

I switched from OG iPhones, to Samsung for a few years back to Apple.

If you have a lot of Apple devices, don’t do it. I need iMessage on my laptop, airdrop etc…

If you only have an Apple Phone/Accessories, do it!

I’d love to go back to Samsung. The only reason I don’t is because the Apple ecosystem works too well for my business.

I did this when the s21ultra came out. Just do it. Don’t let other people stop you from breakinf free!

They’re gonna complain that your text is green. But who cares because you can set your texts to what ever you want!

    Enjoy,

You will probably love the Samsung, but not love the way it fits with your iPhone friends and family. Apple makes this hard, and you will feel every bit of the difficulty.

You’ll probably be fine. One piece of advice is to download Google Photos on your iPhone so that you can back up your photos if you haven’t already. When I switched I didn’t do that until the last minute and it ended up being a huge pain in the ass.

I made the switch and went with the s23 ultra. Hated it at first. Then one day it just started clicking and I could no longer function on my iPhone.

There’s one app I really miss and that’s helvault. The alternatives for android kinda suck in my opinion. If you switch just make sure you’ll be able to get the apps you want. Some work slightly better or worse on android. The steam app is king on android vs ios!

The camera is really great but it’s so much slower than iPhone as far as lining up a quick shot. You can shoot at far greater distances with Samsung though so it’s great for reading a sign half a mile away!

The multitasking is what really drew me in. I had no internet at my house for months. So I started streaming movies from my phone to my Samsung TV. I could put that in the background and keep using my phone for other things. I was actually able to do all that and play music on a Bluetooth speaker at the same time!

All in all there’s some trade-offs but I don’t have any regrets switching. I say try it. If you want iPhone quality then you better pay iPhone prices. Don’t cheap out.

Also sorry for rambling I just figured I’d list a few things for ya

I switched from my iPhone 13 pro Max to the Galaxy s22 ultra after it was released in 2022, imessage was the most difficult adjustment, but I haven’t looked back since. I upgraded to the S23 ultra this year for the battery and camera improvements. Overall, absolutely no regrets switching.

I switched over from my 14PM to the fold 5 a few months ago but in the end I caved in and got a 15 Pro to use alongside it. I now carry both with me.

    #1 Why?

#2 Use the search function. There are literally 10 of these posts every single day with the exact same lines posted. Its almost like fake AI accounts are just dumping this stuff out for engagement.

#3 Buy it. Try it. Dont like it? Return it.

I would definitely wait for the s24 lineup to come out. They’re expected to be showcased January 17th so it’s not that far away. In the meantime, go to your carrier store or Best buy and play around with the Samsung phones just so you can get a feel and see up close the Android OS. You can also order a used s23 or s22 from Amazon and use it until the new s24 lineup comes out then return it. I ordered a cheap iPhone se 3rd Gen and used it for about a month before returning it. I wanted to see if Apple’s os was right for me before making the switch to the iPhone 15 pro max. I didn’t like the os, so I went with the pixel 8 pro since I already really liked the pixel’s OS.

I have had multiple iPhones and Samsungs over the years. Been using Samsung phones for about 3-ish years now and last month, I decided to trade my S23 Ultra for an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I returned it after 4 days because the phone felt sluggish and slow to me. You won’t regret switching, trust me.

I’m switching to a Fold 5 to see what all the fuss is about. I tried a Pixel 7 Pro last Feb and didn’t like it at all. I switched back to iPhone within about 3 weeks.

I went with the Fold 5 just cus it was discounted by $1100 putting it in line with the S23 Ultra pricing.
