Hey all, as the title says. Are backpacks allowed in the Emirates? I will be going tomorrow for the first time. I will go directly from the airport and I was wondering if a backpack with a toothbrush and some clothes would be allowed inside the stadium. Thanks for your help!

You have a separate queue for bags which is much longer and slower. If possible, try to avoid taking a bag in. Try to go a bit earlier otherwise.

Or, if you are late have a fold up bag in your pocket and chuck anything in. 10 mins before kick off, the bag line is often the quickest.

Last game I went to (Sevilla) the bag queue was basically a fucking shortcut, we’re all just patiently waiting in a 100 person queue (x8) meanwhile the people with bags just waltzed straight through to the turnstile after a 5 second bag search.

Yes but absolutely everything gets searched. You could buy something from the Armoury and get the clear plastic bag searched and tagged. That being said you can bring most bags in. I’ve seen people in suits clearly coming from work to a match get in with large briefcases/computer bags. And the lines to get searched are pretty quick usually.

While you can take bags in, if you want to avoid the hassle of the bag queue and carrying around your bag all match, you could consider using the bag storage service “bounce” which has three locations near the ground on the Holloway Road side (two on Holloway Rd, one on Hornsey Rd). I first used it up in Newcastle earlier this month, and then my mate used it for Sevilla at home after that. They seem to all just be corner shops but have worked a treat both times, cost about £6.

Yeah had never heard of it till needed to store bags for Newcastle away. Deffo seems a bit dodgy cause it’s literally just dropping off your bags with the guy behind the counter at a corner shop, but both times it’s been quick, easy, and no issues.
