There are too many to mention.
Insulin, for starters, is just a hundred years old. If you were T1 or LADA back in the day, you’re pretty much dead. Whereas I survived like 2-4 hospitalizations for related illnesses.
I’d like to think that 150 years from now, cancer would be seen as that generation’s polio.
