Heard things like “report too close to share” or “doesn’t let you report with a reason”
Memmy for iOS, the dev put a lot of work and polish on it very, very fast. The UX and design is very similar to Apollo, I love it.
memmy is off to a great start. It’s missing support for inlining common media hosts and formats for nsfw content (redgifs, mp4., …) to be well suited to us here.
I have to login each time the beta updates. Very annoying
Seems like latest builds dropped support for 2FA, so it’s a non-starter for me, unfortunately.
This. Really promising in a short period of time!
Liftoff:
- won’t let me make posts, some kind of bug where it won’t let me select the community I want
- no inlining of red gifs
- webms appear broken
Jerboa:
- doesn’t show community subscriber count
- some images fail to download and crash the app
- no inlining of red gifs or mp4s
I have tried wefwef + hermit but it seems a little janky
Connect not a fan of the design and image downloading doesn’t seem to work
Hopefully sync for lemmy gets here soon
I’m similar in that I’ve found annoying problems with each app. I’ve settled on Liftoff for browsing and Voyager for posting, but when Boost for Lemmy comes out I won’t look back.
I also have another few bugs for the Liftoff list:
- Scrolling upwards through posts often jumps up by about half the screen height. Very jarring.
- Switching out to another app and coming back causes you to lose a partially written comment, or lose your place in the comments.
wefwef became voyager, it recently got the option to disable bluring nsfw posts.
Maybe give it another shot if you havn’t tried it since the rebrand? It, like most things lemmy, is under heavy development.
I am using Voyager on Android. It is not a traditional app, but a mobile webapp very similar to Apollo.
I’m using Connect for Android.
It’s a nice looking interface, and it lets me look beyond LemmyNSFW easily.
One thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t fully respect users’ profiles, so if folks have links to their sites or comments about who they are, what they post, perhaps their OF page, I can’t see it. I find myself hopping back to the browser a lot for that…
Haven’t tried to report anything yet.Just tried, and it didn’t give me any option to add a reason… ugh.I’m using liftoff, I like the layout of it.
I am waiting for Boost for Lemmy. That would be awesome.
Why is this post marked nsfw?

memmy for iOS is my current favorite, since it works similar like apollo. I also used wefwef a bit, but to have a installed app on my phone was more convinient for me, since I selfhosted wefwef behind a vpn connection within my server lab. (But just because I had not the time until know to verify how the security concept of wefwef is. Maybe it is just enough to use the online web app.)

I love memmy personally.
I have had some issues with liftoff in my secure folder (Samsung), when I try to scroll everything starts to lag and my phone becomes sluggish, as soon as I close/minimize the app the phone is ok again, have been using connect and haven’t had the same issues at least.
Jerboa
- A but buggy but it works for the most part
- not the most intuitive app
Lemmur
- never been able to get it to load posts properly
Liftoff
- Best app I’ve tried yet
- has the most features of any of the apps I’ve tried
- most intuitive layout
- least buggy
With Jerboa I frequently accidentally hide comments or click longer usernames in the list of posts instead of opening the post. Comment hiding seems like a pretty useless feature in general.
