Several instances are currently spamming this community with garbage. We’re trying to ban them all but new ones keep popping up. Our apologies but do know we are working on it.
Believe it or not but Lemmygrad admin is not my daily job and I have to do that as well, so it might be flooded in the meantime 😤
Any news on what the group behind it is motivated by? Why target fediverse? :(
Since most of the spam is in Japanese, that makes me wonder if I offended a Japanese nationalist by discussing Imperial war crimes. It could be just a coincidence, though.
I suspect these are spammers exploring new venues/revenue streams.
