Hey all.
Hoping this is the right place to get advice on trimming my saplings before the Ontario fall. I got them in the ground last year after buying them from a farmer who’s goats had gotten to them. So they have some wonk.
My sugar maple is about 3 ft and my rowan is about 2ft.
I’ve cut some of some wet shoots. And tied a steak to the rowan after cutting out another main stem. Both trees have had some trouble with Japanese green beetles. I’m conflicted with what else to cut… I know the idea is to prioritize a main stem but I’m not sure how to choose those at this stage.
Tia!
