There is no “hate crime” in German law though. He’ll be charged with attempted murder.
In this specific case yes, hate counts as base motive and escalates manslaughter charges to murder, as murder is manslaughter with base motive.
He’s still going to jail for attempted infanticide, and I imagine that for a long time
